AIKEN, S.C. - University of South Carolina Aiken golf standout Karl Frisk has been named the
Hutson-Etherredge Companies and Auto-Owners Insurance USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending September 25, 2022.
Frisk, a sophomore from Spring Grove, Pa., turned in his best performance as a Pacer at the UNG Mizuno Intercollegiate.
Frisk picked up his first top-five finish of his career at the par-72, 7,166-yard Chattahoochee Golf Club.
He posted a three-under par, 69, to open the tournament before shooting even-par, 72 for the second round of action. Frisk finished up strong, shooting four-under par, 68, over the final 18 holes of play.
For the tournament, he shot seven-under par, 209.
