“Intent is everything so plan to dominate.”

Young athletes plan to be the best at one or two positions and focus on that for much of their respective careers. However, that’s not the case for junior standout Tashiana Kwatowski.

A 5-6 midfielder from Ludlow, Mass., Kwatowski was not the average athlete. She excelled at multiple positions for her various teams, but when she arrived on campus at USC Aiken Kwatowski focused on playing in the midfield.

During her sophomore season, one thing led to another. Eventually, Kwatowski played in goal for much of the year. At times, she would also be in the field. There were some matches when she would play in the midfield and in goal.

PacerSports.com recently talked with Kwatowski about playing multiple positions last year and about her transition back to midfield during her junior campaign.“A Closer Look” is sponsored by Innovative Solutions.
