University of South Carolina Aiken Athletics

Head coach Glenn Cox recruited a trio of student-athletes off one team – the Jacksonville Juniors Volleyball Association – prior to the 2017 season. 

Kayla Duggan, Brittany French and Alie Smith were teammates prior to their time on campus while French and Smith played alongside each other in high school. 

Prior to the season, the trio discussed growing up in Florida, their recruitment and playing on the same team – both for JJVA and what it was like to play collegiately together. 

The trio has helped guide USC Aiken to a 22-4 mark heading into the last weekend of the regular season.
