USC Aiken Women Earn Third Straight League Victory
DAHLONEGA, Ga. – The University of South Carolina Aiken women's tennis team claimed its third straight Peach Belt Conference victory with an 8-1 road win over North Georgia on Sunday at the North Georgia Tennis Complex.
In a battle of top-35 teams, the nationally 33rd-ranked USC Aiken men's tennis team could not overcome No. 25 North Georgia, falling narrowly, 5-4.
The Pacer women swept doubles on Sunday. The lone USC Aiken (11-5, 5-3 PBC) loss to North Georgia (6-12, 1-6 PBC) came at No. 5 singles.
The Pacer women have now won seven of their last eight matches.
The North Georgia (13-4, 3-3 PBC) men garnered their win in doubles. The Saints took two of the three doubles matches.
USC Aiken (5-5, 0-5 PBC) and North Georgia split the six singles matches.
The Pacer men and women will next welcome Lander to the USC Aiken Tennis Complex on Saturday, April 7. The action is scheduled to get underway at 1 p.m.
