Pacers Make it Three in a Row in 7-2 Win Over Pfeiffer

MISENHEIMER, N.C. – The University of South Carolina Aiken women's tennis team claimed its third straight victory in a 7-2 non-conference road win over Pfeiffer on Wednesday afternoon at the Knapp Tennis Center.

USC Aiken (7-4) opened the match by falling in No. 1 doubles, but the Pacers would garner wins at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles to enter singles action clinging to a 2-1 lead.

The Pacers would drop the No. 1 singles match, but USC Aiken would sweep the next five singles flights to claim the 7-2 win over Pfeiffer (5-9).

Gina Kothari (Leicester, England/Dixie Grammar School) and Julie Maline (Amiens, France /Lycée Louis Thuillier) picked up the most resounding singles wins on the afternoon for the Pacers with the two claiming 6-0, 6-0 wins at No. 5 and No. 6 singles, respectively.

The Pacers will next welcome Clark Atlanta to the USC Aiken Tennis Complex tomorrow (Thursday, Mar. 22). Things are slated to get underway at 2 p.m.
