Faison Tabbed South Carolina Education Lottery USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week
AIKEN, S.C. - University of South Carolina Aiken men's basketball player Byron Faison was selected as the South Carolina Education Lottery USC Aiken Athletic Department Student-Athlete of the Week on Nov. 28, 2010.
Faison helped the seventh-ranked Pacers to remain perfect in the 2010-11 season last week with victories over Benedict and Life.
Faison averaged a team-best 17.5 points per game in USC Aiken's two games. He shot 58.8 percent (10-of-17) from the field in the two games.
The preseason All-America selection was lethal as always in the two games from beyond the arc where he shot 66.7 percent (6-of-9).
A native of Sumter, S.C., Faison finished the win over Benedict with 12 points. He was 7-for-8 from the free throw line in the game.
In the Pacers dominating win over NAIA 21st-ranked Life this past weekend, Faison scored 23 points. He was 8-for-9 overall from the field, including 5-for-6 on his three-point attempts.
