Pacers to Play King at Home on February 27
AIKEN, S.C. - USC Aiken head men's basketball coach Vince Alexander announced today that USC Aiken will now play King College at home at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 27 at the Convocation Center.
The two teams were originally scheduled to play that day at King College in Bristol, Tenn., but due to the fact that the originally scheduled home game for the Pacers in late January was postponed due to inclement weather in Bristol, Tenn., the two parties agreed to play the contest at the Convocation Center.
The two will still not play a home and home this year with the 4 p.m. game at the Convocation Center on Saturday, Feb. 27 serving as the only game between the two in the 2009-10 season.
The contest will be Senior Day for the USC Aiken Cheerleading and Dance team.
USC Aiken will play host to new league foe Montevallo at 7:30 p.m. this evening. The contest is part of a men's and women's basketball twinbill at the Convocation Center with the Pacer women squaring off against the Montevallo women prior to the men's game at 5:30 p.m.
It will be "Pink Zone" day at the Convocation Center. For the Pacers' "Pink Zone" game, all fans are asked to wear pink. USC Aiken will take $2 from each admission ticket sold and donate it to the Savannah River Cancer Foundation. There will also be special door prizes available to win throughout the women's game as well as the Pacers' men's game.
